Top Three Ways to Have Brownies

1. By themselves You can heat it or eat it right out of the refrigerator. You can put it on a plate and eat it with a fork or hold it with a napkin. You can eat brownies sitting or standing, or even on a walk (but not in Japan – they only eat ice cream while walking). You can eat brownies in the car if you wish, but please don't drive and eat at the same time. You can eat them while listening on the phone but we've found it hard to try and talk on the phone while eating brownies (we've tried so many times!) Recommended beverage: Whole milk Recommended time: between meals

2. With fudge or chocolate sauce Can't do this one holding it with a napkin – you definitely need a plate. A good place to eat brownies this way is on the couch. Extra fudge on the side of the plate is good. You can spear a bite of brownie and dip it in the extra fudge. Recommended beverage: 100% arabica coffee, hot Recommended time: after working out at the gym

3. With hot fudge and vanilla ice cream This is just the best, isn't it? You have to heat the brownie first, put the ice cream on and then add the fudge. The sharp difference in temperatures make this way of eating brownies our all-time favorite. No plates or forks here; you need a shallow bowl and we've found a soup spoon works best to get the fudge off the side of the bowl. Forks are no good here. Recommended beverage: cappuccino Recommended time: Before 8 a.m and after 9 a.m. (brownies don't go well with scrambled eggs; we've tried.)
