1. Children's lunch box – you have to rotate desserts. Some days it's an apple, some days it's a banana, some days it's a brownie. Some days it's a banana and a brownie. Give them extra to pass on to their friends and you will be the most popular parent in the school.
2. Picnics – individually wrapped brownies are important here. Pack them on top of everything and make sure you have lots of napkins.
3. Care packages – if you're sending care packages to college students or other loved ones, brownies are great to put in the package. Students always exclaim “Brownies!” when they open the package. We've never known students to exclaim “Underwear!” or “Family pictures!” Brownies make you a hit not just with your college-age child but the entire dorm.
4. Office – if you brought brownies to the office every Wednesday, you would be the most popular person on Wednesdays. Office politics would melt, work rivalries would have an armistice, and people would always let you go first when you want to use the copier.
5. Courting – if a rival for a woman's affections brought her flowers and you brought her brownies, you would win. Don't even question this one; brownies win every time. If you brought enough brownies for her friends as well, you would win their affection too. What's the rival going to do, bring flowers for her friends? That's just weird; you'll always win with brownies.
6. Church – have you ever seen a church gathering with leftover brownies? We never have. We've seen leftover cake and cookies, but never leftover brownies. Doesn't happen now and it never will.
